In unserer Werkstatt organisieren wir Ausflüge für Schulen und Kindergärten. Am Anfang erzähle ich den Kindern immer von Seifen. Jeder behauptet, Seife zu Hause zu haben. Jemand flüssig, jemand fest, jeder weiß, wovon wir reden. Doch nur wenige Menschen wissen, woraus echte Seife besteht und wie sie tatsächlich funktioniert. Und so erzähle ich den Kindern, dass in der Seife kleine Figuren sind, die zwei Hände haben. Eine lange, die Schmutz, Verunreinigungen und Bakterien auffängt. Und der andere kurze, der das Wasser auffängt und so den ganzen Schmutz wegspült.
Und so ist es wirklich. Weißt du, warum?
Jeder, der mit der Herstellung von Naturseifen beginnt, lernt wahrscheinlich zunächst, diese nach bewährten Rezepten aus dem Internet oder aus Büchern herzustellen. Zumindest habe ich es so gemacht. Meine erste Seife habe ich Anfang 2012 hergestellt und es war Marseille-Seife. Warum habe ich mich für diese, man könnte sagen, legendäre Seife entschieden? Weil ich ihn kannte und gelesen habe, dass er großartig war. Damals wusste ich, dass es sich um eine sanfte Pflanzenseife handelt, die sowohl für empfindliche Haut als auch zum Waschen oder Reinigen von Teppichen geeignet ist. Darüber hinaus wird es aus verfügbaren Rohstoffen hergestellt. Marseiller Seife ist jede pflanzliche Fettseife auf Olivenölbasis. Ich erinnere mich noch an mein erstes Rezept. Es bestand zu 75 % aus Olivenöl und zu 25 % aus Kokosöl. Nichts Besonderes. Und raten Sie mal, es hat wirklich funktioniert. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt wusste ich nicht, was mich erwarten würde und was passieren würde. Es fühlte sich wie von Zauberhand an, als sich die Öle zu verändern begannen und schließlich eine wunderschöne blassgrüne Seife mit feinem Schaum und großen Blasen entstand. Wir Seifenhersteller folgen ganz genau dem Charakter der Blasen.
So reichten nur zwei Öle aus, um eine der berühmtesten traditionellen Seifen herzustellen.
Dass die Seife aus Ölen hergestellt wird, begeistert nicht nur Ausflugskinder, sondern auch Erwachsene. Wie kann Öl zu einem harten Würfel werden, der schäumt und gerade Öle und Fette weggespült werden können? Nun, wer hätte das gedacht, es hängt damit zusammen.
CHEMISCHES FENSTER
Dies liegt daran, dass Öl/Fett aus Fettsäuren besteht. Und Seife ist ein Salz einer Fettsäure.
Was macht das Salz aus dem Fett? Hydroxid. Natrium oder Kalium. Bei der Herstellung von Festseife verwenden wir Natriumhydroxid. Dadurch wird das Fett in Seife umgewandelt. Das Hydroxid wird vollständig verbraucht, sodass in der Seife keine Spur mehr davon vorhanden ist. Wenn wir also ein gutes Rezept und den richtigen Herstellungsprozess haben.
Fettsäuren sind solche langen fettlöslichen Ketten. Bei der Herstellung fester Seife bindet sich Natrium an diese und es entsteht Natriumsalz. Es hat zwei Enden. Ein langes, fettlösliches Produkt, das aus einer Fettsäure stammt. Der zweite, kurze, ist am Wasser befestigt. Und wir haben das Strichmännchen, über das ich am Anfang geschrieben habe.
Durch die lange Kette bleibt Schmutz an der Seife hängen. Das Natrium/Kalium am anderen Ende wiederum bindet Wasser. Nach diesem Prinzip funktioniert nicht nur Seife, sondern auch andere Waschmittel, also Substanzen, die zum Waschen verwendet werden.
Ein Nebenprodukt der Verseifungsreaktion ist Glycerin. Letzteres bleibt in den handgefertigten Seifen enthalten und trägt zur Weichheit und geschmeidigen Wirkung der Seife bei. Es macht diese Seifen aber auch weicher. Glycerin bindet Wasser an sich. Und sogar aus der Luft. Wissen Sie schon, warum Seifen nach dem Regen auf den Märkten wie verrückt verkauft werden?
Das war ein chemisches Fenster. Jetzt wissen wir, dass Seife auf Fett und Hydroxid basiert. Nur dieses Doppelte reicht aus, um Seife herzustellen.
Aber welche Fette soll man für die Produktion wählen?
DIE MAGIE DER REZEPTE
Seife hat mehrere Reize. Nun, zumindest kommt es mir, einem Seifenliebhaber, so vor. Einer der Zauber besteht darin, dass Sie unzählige verschiedene Rezepte erstellen können. Seife bietet viel Raum zum Experimentieren. Für die Herstellung können Sie praktisch alle Fette und Öle verwenden. Außer zum Beispiel Mineralöl. Da es keine Fettsäuren enthält, ist es klar, dass wir daraus keine Seife herstellen werden.
Fangen wir einfach an. Wir können problemlos nur ein Fett/Öl zur Herstellung von Seife verwenden.
Ein traditionelles Beispiel für eine solche Seife ist Kastilienseife, die zu 100 % aus Olivenöl hergestellt wird. Dieses bewährte Rezept wird seit mindestens 1000 Jahren hergestellt. Die Seife ist extra weich, sehr sanft, hart und langlebig. Der Schaum ist schwächer und kann bei Berührung etwas klebrig sein. Es ist hellgrün, der Farbton variiert je nach verwendetem Olivenöl. Das Interessante ist, dass es lange reifen muss, mehrere Monate, sogar ein Jahr. Es wird für besonders empfindliche und trockene Haut verwendet, zum Waschen des Gesichts, manche Menschen mögen es auch für die Haare. Es eignet sich auch zur Reinigung empfindlicher Materialien wie Perserteppiche oder Tadelakt.
Ein weiteres klassisches Beispiel für eine Seife mit nur einer Zutat ist Seife, die zu 100 % aus Schmalz besteht. Es ist auch sehr sanft und sanft. Es ist hart und hält lange. Es hat einen reichhaltigeren, cremigen Schaum. Und es ist auch cremeweiß. Mir persönlich gefällt, dass es typisch tschechisch ist. Diese Seife eignet sich zum Waschen des ganzen Körpers, kann aber auch zur Reinigung oder Reinigung verwendet werden.
Allein aus diesen beiden Fetten/Ölen ergibt sich eine tolle Seife. Es gibt aber auch Öle, aus denen wir Einkomponentenseife herstellen können, mit dem Ergebnis werden wir aber wahrscheinlich nicht ganz zufrieden sein. Die Seife schäumt möglicherweise nicht oder ist sehr weich. Also denken wir, dass wir die Öle lieber irgendwie kombinieren würden. Und so wird es auch in den meisten Rezepten für Naturseifen gemacht.
